Hiring & Screening

All T.E.D. Security Service applicants are subject to a four phase screening and hiring process. Applicants must successfully complete each phase of the screening and hiring process to progress to the next phase. For example: If an applicant does not successfully complete Phase One of the process, they will not be permitted to progress to Phases 2-4 of the screening and hiring process.

PHASE - 1

  • 50 question written examination
  • Writing sample

PHASE - 2

  • Applicant must provide their original and current Class D License
    Note: The temporary Blue Class D Security License will not suffice
  • Preliminary one on one interview with upper management

PHASE - 3

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION:

  • Educational: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Driver’s License Records
  • State of Florida Inquiry Ref: Verification of Class D security licenses
  • Substance Abuse Test
  • Mental Health Evaluation
  • Criminal Background Investigation
  • Sexual Offender Inquiry
  • Reference check:
    • Verify three most recent places of employment
    • Three character references (No family members)
  • OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen certified (Within 90 days of hire)
  • MANDATORY: Basic Life Support (BLS) certified :
    • CPR
    • AED
    • First Aid

PHASE - 4

  • Panel interview with ownership and upper management
